Frank is 13 years old and still in 4th grade, attending a public school in a rural community in of mid-western Ghana. It's not uncommon for students to be delayed in academic advancement because their families weren't able to pay school tuition on a number of occasions. Of the 72 million primary school-age children that aren't in school about half of them reside in Sub-Saharan African countries like Ghana. Parents in developing countries are increasingly disappointed in the public school systems and prefer to send their children to affordable private schools like Yesu Mmo.
Frank's parents both died and a relative brought him to live at a small orphanage with a guardian who cares for 20 other orphans and children who's parents were unable to take care of them. Frank's guardian believes that education is important and is doing all she can to create brighter futures for the children she cares for. Frank is a shy who likes to learn. He enjoys many cultural and traditional activites as well as studying science. When he grows up he wants to be a footballer (soccer player).
Frank is currently enrolled in a public school, but his guardian believes that an affordable private school would offer him a higher quality education. Together we can make this possible. Frank's tuition fee includes the cost to attend school ($154) as well the cost for text books/stationary ($42), exercise books ($8), school uniform with footwear ($50), school lunch/bus transportation ($166) cost for the year. His guardian's compassion and commitment to the needy children of her village is commendable. Let's support her by creating future opportunity for Frank!
