Godfred is currently in grade 2 at St. Cecilia Educational Centre

Age: 7

School: St. Cecilia

Godfred is a 7 year old 2nd grade student in Ghana. One in 6 children will leave school before the 2nd grade in Sub-Saharan African countries like Ghana. In many developing countries parents prefer to send their children to affordable private schools because the public school systems don't provide a quality education. They are often over-crowded and lack teacher accountability and typically require that families pay uniform costs, exam and other hidden fees.

Godfred attends an affordable private school called St. Cecilia Educational Centre in a rural community. He is a smart and energetic student young boy learning English and hopes to be a doctor when he grows up. His parents have left the community to look for work. It is not uncommon within the rural communities for parents to leave their children with a guardian, so they can explore better financial opportunities. Godfred's guardian sells water and earns very little and unreliable income. Godfred likes going to school and especially enjoys the sports. He really enjoys playing football (soccer).

Together we can make a lasting impact for Godfre and help his guardian send him to school for only $123. Supporting Godfred's education will help his guardian provide for his other needs. If we come together we can easily help Godfred's guardian educate him!
