Together with 2 donors we made sure Atta's school fee was paid for the 2013-2014 academic school year! Now we are fundraising for Atta's 2014-2015 academic year

Atta is a 7 year old 1st grader. He lives in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. Children living in Sub-Saharan countries like Ghana are less likely to complete school. One in 6 leave school before 2nd grade. Atta lives in a rural community near the Ivory Coast border. Many members of the community are not formally educated and struggle to provide for themselves and their families.

Atta is a shy student at St. Cecilia Educational Centre where his favorite subject is English. He loves to play football (soccer) and wants to be a professional footballer (soccer player) like Asamoah Gyan when he grows up. Atta lives with his mother, father and four siblings. His parents both work as farmers to support their large family. His father finds it difficult to care for and provide an education to his children on a farmers income. They live "hand to mouth" with little money left over.

Despite having two parents to contribute to the household, Atta's parents are not earning enough to educate their children. For only $123 we can provide a year of education for him. Donate as little as $5 to Atta today!
