Together with 2 donors we made sure Gregory's school cost was paid for the 2013-2014 academic school year! Now we are fundraising for his 2014-2015 academic year.
Gregory is 14 years old and entering his last year of Junior High School in a rural village of the Brong Ahafo region in mid-western Ghana. Primary school-age children that live in Sub-Saharan African countries like Ghana make up about half of all primary school-age children not attending school in the world. Many of the people in Gregory's village are peasant farmers, earning a very meager income.
Gregory is a smart student who is hoping to become a lawyer when he grows up. He enjoys his social studies class, and playing football (soccer). He admires Andre Dede Ayew (a Ghanaian footballer from a very famous football family) He is being raised and cared for by his mother. His father traveled away and there is little known about his current whereabouts. His mother is in poor health, but continues to provide for her family through peasant farming. However, she is struggling to care for her 3 children.
Gregory is an ambitious student, but his opportunity for education is not guaranteed. His mother is at a disadvantage of caring for her family as a single parent in poor health. Together we can ease the burden of this family and guarantee a year of education for Gregory. A donation as small as $5 will make an impact for Gregory!
